What's Coming

Our goal is to recreate and extend the capabilities of the original CANDAT application in a modern, web-based environment.

Planned capabilities include calculating nutrient intakes from individual dietary recalls and implementing a comprehensive food history questionnaire environment for collecting dietary information and calculating nutrient intakes.

We also aim to integrate many of the capabilities of FORMDAT, our food formulation system. This will support industrial food formulation, nutrient calculations for manufactured food products, and the generation of nutritional information for publication, including Nutrition Facts tables and product labelling.

Together, these developments will establish CANDAT as a comprehensive environment for dietary research, food formulation, and scientifically grounded nutrient calculations.
